We invited our friends who compete in alpine ski and snowboard events for Team Powderhorn and Special Olympics Colorado on a fun, overnight river trip. We rafted and paddled on the stretch of the upper Colorado River from Pumphouse to State Bridge. The early-season conditions gave us a high water level with refreshing, Class III rapids. Good company, mixed weather, and a great place to get away for a weekend made for an awesome, memorable trip.
